So Caleb had his first birthday recently. We had a small get together with our family. We did the usual Wardle tradition of the baby having their own cake. (I had never heard of doing this until Scott insisted on it for Jeffrey). He made such a mess with the frosting and such. Everyone seemed to have a good time, and now that we have our back yard close to what we have always wanted, patio and fence installed, it ended up being a very nice evening.
Hailey insisted on helping to blow out the candle and open the presents. Caleb loved the attention. We baked the cake for Caleb and the kids and bought a cake from "Nothing Bundt Cake" for the adults. It was so good!!! If you haven't been in that store, I highly recommend it, and this is coming from someone who really doesn't like cake. Anyway, I digress, the party was a lot of fun, even though Hailey was disappointed that I didn't buy ballons and decorate.
